Pro-Vision are pleased to support Genie - the popular CCTV manufacturer - with their anniversary scheme to donate £50,000 to the Make-A-Wish charity. Pro-Vision were able to donate two tickets to see Take That at Villa Park this summer. Thanks to the generosity of the audience the evening raised an excellent £13,000. There are other fund-raising activities over the coming months including cash donations on Genie products sold during certain months. More details below. |

Redvison have released the next generation of their domes - the X-Series. A great feature is that all X-Series cameras can be configured as either conventional domes or 'ball' type pan and tilts. The units are supplied as domes, but can be easily converted to a pan and tilt type by removing the top cover. The design also incorporates a flat toughened glass window that eliminates the problems associated with the optics on standard 'bubble' domes. Another plus for the range is that the cameras can see above the horizon without the video being clipped by the dome top. The IP66 range of domes are supplied either with or without wipers and an optional IR unit is also available. |

Some technologies really raise the bar in surveillance - like video analytics for example. Through constant automated digital screening and filtering video analytics can identify specific conditions and notify operators of potential issues. Pelco engineers have developed numerous video analytics features to track various behaviours – from recognising an abandoned briefcase or duffel bag to determining when someone is loitering in a specified zone. These Pelco analytics packages are included free on some products including Spectra HD PTZ cameras, Sarix fixed cameras and NET5400 Series encoders. Pelco has produced a useful brochure on the subject which you can download or view here:- |

Pecan CCTV have added two new colour options and two mounting accessories for their highly successful VRD130CMHVL colour/mono vandal-resistant dome. The 'eye-ball' dome now has a heated front glass to improve the dome’s performance in cold weather and is available in three colours - Cool Grey (VRD130CMHVL-CG) and White (VRD130CMHVL-W) and the original Gunmetal Grey. The IP66 rated dome still benefits from a cast aluminium housing but there are two new accessory options that make installation even easier than before with the introduction of a wall mount bracket (VRD130WBT) and the VRD130DB - a deep base unit that allows the cables to be terminated at the base of the dome. |

As demonstrated at Ifsec, Dallmeier have released a 3 megapixel HD-IR bullet camera. The camera uses a CMOS image sensor with their cam_inPIX technology that delivers outstanding image quality during the day, plus due to a unique and novel IR concept, the bullet delivers stunning images at night. The camera uses three large high-performance light-emitting diodes which provide a very high irradiation output that means even at distances of 25m detail is clearly recognisable. Plus the integrated collimators provide for a highly even homogenous illumination and ensure that marginal areas of an image are adequately illuminated. Other features include:- digital image shift, conformity to IP66 Onvif compliant and integrated SDHC card shot. Voltage supply via PoE. |
